The 6.3 earthquake that hit Hawaii was not as drastic as the Indonesia one but still caused some injuries and loss of power. Many parts of the island were without power and most businesses were shut down due to lack of power. Those businesses that were lucky enough to have power or who had backup generators in place received a multitude of people looking for groceries, supplies, and gas. This earthquake shows one of the reasons why it is important for businesses to have backup electrical generators to stay up during these situations.
