Guardian QuietSource Air-Cooled 16kW Standby Generator Review

The Guardian QuietSource Air-Cooled standby generator offers 16 kW of power which is enough to power 5-ton and 3-ton air conditioners or two 4-ton air conditioners with a some power to spare. This particular model includes a sturdy steel enclosure and a WhisperTest™ excercise mode that produces a low 61 db. A Generac OHVI V-Twin engine, protection for up to 16 circuits, and being EPA/CARB Certified complete this very powerful generator. However do not let the QuietSource fool you into thinking this is totally quiet. It still produces a sound rating of 71.5 db but does produce a much lower 61 db during weekly excercise mode that tests the generator. The QuietSource 16 kW generator also comes in an optional model with an aluminum enclosure that provides resistance to corrosion which will come in handy for areas drenched with rain or pile with snow.
