"Bought just after the ice storm hit in Arkansas Jan '09 from a Honda dealer that brought a load of generators to our area to sell. Totally awesome generator. I ran a oil space heater, fridge and a lamp with 60watt bulb with no problems. I ran it for 11 hours nonstop the first night and it didnt even use half the tank of gas. The quality and dependability is more that worth the price of $699 I paid. "

"Bought a few days before Hurricane Gustav made landfall (1 Sep, 2008) for $665 from Honda Dealer. Runs great...no problems....we are running a large fridge, 11cuft freezer, 1 Lasko box fan, 1 Lasko Pedestal fan, Laptop, Cordless Phone, two 60 watt light bulbs and a Hunter 52inch celing fan, ...ALL of these continously at the same time over night. One full tank of gas (2.9Gallon) has lasted more than 12 hours...will probably go for 14/15 hours. We run this throughout the night. And 2 hours during the day. This is the third day so far. We are very happy with this generator."

"We purchased at the higher price of $750 because the generator was shipped from out of state to a Honda dealer here in Houston following Ike. This little thing is a power house! It is only rated for 2500 Watts but I guarantee you that it will do more. We ran two double fridges (alternating one with a deep freezer), a 42" flat screen with Dish Network box, a power strip with several cell phones and a laptop and a large fan for 16 hours on one tank! I could't believe it. Two Drawbacks, 1)it is loud compared to the quieter honda models but unless you are tailgating, noise isn't really a concern. 2) This unit is about twice as much as similar models (and more powerful models) that run Honda engines but, those units will not perform as well or as efficiently. For storm protection this is a good choice. "
