Honda Super Quiet EU1000i Generator ReviewThe Honda Super Quiet EU1000i is a very light weight, portable generator weighing in at 29 lbs. The Super Quiet series uses Honda's patented technology, Eco-Throttle which adjusts the engine speed to maximum efficiency depending on the load, thus reducing fuel consumption, engine noise, and emissions. The Honda EU1000i produces a clean sine wave of energy that does not spike and safe for sensitive electronic equipment. This generator consists of a 1.8 HP single cylinder Honda overhead valve engine. The .6 gallon fuel capacity is a problem for bigger jobs but for smaller recreational or home usage, the Honda EU1000i can run up to 8.3 hours at 1/4 load with Eco-Throttle. Overall, this model is a good choice for portable energy needs but for higher price than some other brands. The other Super Quiet models the Honda EU2000i and the Honda EU3000is are better choices. |

"HAVE OWNED ONE OF THESE FOR ABOUT 3 YEARS AND IT SMOKES, RINGS ARE SHOT OR THE PISTON HAS A SMALL HOLE WHICH ALLOWS OIL TO MIX WITH THE GAS WHICH IN TUN CAUSES THE SMOKE. I TRIED TO HAVE A HONDA REPAIR SHOP FIX IT AND WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE UPWARDS OF
$350+ TO FIX IT. I HAVE MANAGED TO TAKE IT APART BUT COULD NOT GET THE THE ACUATOR/GENERATOR PORTION OFF THE UNIT SO I CAN GET TO THE CYCINDER AND THE PISTON, RINGS ETC. I CAN DO THE WORK BUT I DON'T OR HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO LOCATE THE ITEMS I NEED TO GIVE MY GERNERATOR IT'S LIFE BACK. CAN ANYONE THERE HELP OR POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. OBVIUOSLY I CAN DO THE WORK MYSELF AND WITH THE PARTS NEEDEDI KNOW I CAN REPAIR THIS WONDERFUL MACHINE. I'D BE MUCH OBLIGED.
