"First of all, do not be confused by the word Super quiet for Honda EU3000is. Lots of generators will use terms like this just to sell generators. I have not found one generator that is very quiet. Most sound like an air conditioner although there are some liquid cooled ones that are very decent. The Honda EU3000is can get very load depending on what’s plugged into it. I love that fact that you can combine the same Honda portable generators, like two EU3000is together. The electric start and simultaneous AC/DC use really come in handy. You actually get a lot of power for the fuel consumption too. What I don't like is with a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $1,999.95 they could at least throw in the wheel kit and DC Charging Cord. Come on Honda, these generators are heavy."

" The first time we used our eu3000is was in a quiet rustic state camp ground. I was suprised at how noisy it sounded in a quiet setting and ended up trying to baffel the noise with some wood and carpet we had with us. We only used it a little during the day and never in the morning or the evening out of respect of the other campers. I don't know why they put the exhaust pointing out the top of the unit. I am going to try and build a vented insulated cover to put over it before our next trip. I think they are being way over rated as far as being super quiet. "

"I camped next to a neighbor who ran a eu3000is just to charge batteries. I didn't even hear it running until I walked past his site on the way to the shower. When he was using the 120 volt power I could hear the generator running from my campsite next door, but the sound was not intrusive in the least."
