Idaho's solar resources seem to be separated into layers going from top to bottom. For both type of solar collection methods, Idaho is below average
at the top of the state but becomes more viable going to the bottom of the state. Most of Idaho, except for the upper northern region is a good source for flat-plate
solar collectors. Less of the state is as useful for concentrating collectors but the southwestern part of the state still offers a good source for this type of solar power
collection. Most of Idaho is able to utilize a good amount of solar power with the upper northern part being the exception.
