Louisiana is a good source for flat-plate solar collectors with the best resource being a small section in the northwest part of the state. As for
concentrating collectors, Louisiana does not get enough direct sun rays to provide ample solar power and most of the state is below average. Solar power is still a
good source using flat-plate collectors.
