According to the NREL map for solar resources in Nebraska, solar power can be harnessed effective in most of the state using both collection methods.
The whole state is a good resource for flat-plate collectors with most of the state in the range of 5,000 to 5,500. For concentrating collectors, Nebraska breaks into 3
sections east to west. The two western sections provide good amounts of energy but the eastern section is not as efficient for this method of solar collection.
