North Carolina has good resources throughout the state for flat-plate solar collectors. According to the NREL map, the use of flat-plate collectors
can provide many people useful amounts of energy anywhere in the state. Concentrating collectors are not very effective in North Carolina but provide a decent amount
of energy for some minor applications. North Carolina is still a good choice for solar power using flat-plate collectors.
