Located near Barrow-in-Furness, 7 km from Walney Island, the Barrow offshore wind farm was completed in June of 2006 and consists of 30 Vestas V90 3 MW wind turbines. The farm covers a space of 10 square kilometres of the East Irish Sea, has a total capacity of producing 90 MW, and is capable of power aproximately 65,000 homes.
