The Burbo Bank offshore wind farm is located about 7 kilometers from North Wirral in Burbo Flats in Liverpool Bay. The offshore wind farm which was completed in October of 2007 consists of 25 Siemens 3.6 MW turbines convering an area of 10 square kilometres with a power output capacity of 90 MW which can power 80,000 homes.
