Conversions and Transfer Switches

Yamaha has made arrangements with two vendors to supply propane and natural gas fuel conversion kits direct. Propane and natural gas have benefits over gasoline in some applications, such as idle systems that save fuel when a load is not connected. The use of propane may decrease the output of your generator. Propane and Natural Gas conversion kits are available for certain models. Kits are provided by manufacturers, and its important to know if you purchase a Tri-fuel kit, it will allow the generator unit to still function on gasoline. In addition, the unit will be able to use propane or natural gas as an alternative fuel.

Eco-Friendly? Well, Almost.

The 357cc Yamaha 4-stroke OHV engine was certified to the most stringent California Air Resources Board Tier III exhaust emission regulations and durability levels. All heavy-duty models have been USFS-approved, concerning their spark arrestors. Yamaha generators have been manufactured with the current economic downfall in mind. Though most of their models run off of gasoline, they are in the works to produce and introduce the world to many eco-friendly models for the future.

The Yamaha Generator Collection

There are 5 different series involving Yamaha generators. The Inverter Series offer light weight, high quality generators for great prices. Averaging between $600 and $2600, these generators are fully capable of traveling on RV’s and camping trips. They are also designed and hold enough power to run multiple items at once. The clean power comes from a range of 1000 to 4500 watts.

The Premier Consumer Series offers a variety of different models with a wattage range of 2600-12,000. All models have a 4-stroke OHV engine and the average running time is just under 10 hours continuously. Priced from $700-$3500, these generators are perfect for home or jobsite use.

The Industrial Series are great generators for the jobsite. Capable of pumping out 4000 to 6600 watts, the dual voltage outputs allow you to hook up more than one item for use. Priced between $1400 and $1900, they are maintenance free and the idle systems save fuel and reduce noise when a load is not connected. All models are equipped with electric starts making these portable generators easy to get going.

The Heavy Duty Series generators are great for emergency, recreation, home back up systems or jobsite use. They require little maintenance and the long lasting durability allows you to take these generators just about anywhere. They range in watts from 1000 to 6600 and the average continuous running time is about 5 hours.

The Diesel Series offers one model. Its liquid cooled and fully sound insulated. It offers a dual voltage of 120/240 volts and a twin cylinder 570 CC diesel engine that is capable of handling the biggest jobs. Running off of diesel fuel, it’s cheaper than ordinary gas generators. 6500 watts pump out of this generator for long lasting abilities.

Benefits to Owning A Yamaha

Yamaha is a trusted name, not just when manufacturing generators. The sizes of all of their models are small to medium, making them perfect for travel. All models come with a 2 year warranty that includes all basic parts, and the easy start ups get you up and going in no time.

Yamaha Generator Tip

Before buy, do some shopping online before you purchase one in a store. The Yamaha website offers discounted models for much less. They’re set at discounted prices because they have been used but only for display purposes. They’ve never been operated. They offer many things like the full Yamaha warranty. Some models have few cosmetic blemishes, due to consumers walking by or checking them out. But for the price, why not look into it?
